No matter how well a person follows the rules of the road, an accident can always happen, which is a scary thought. Those who are negligent on the road can injure themselves, those in any vehicle that is struck and others. After a three-car crash in Florida, four people were injured and had to be taken to an area hospital for treatment after the car accident.
At about 9 a.m., a 16-year-old was attempting to turn his Toyota Tacoma off of the highway and onto another road. As he tried to turn, a woman driving a Jeep Compass slammed into the rear of the Tacoma. The impact was so hard that it drove the Tacoma into the path of oncoming traffic, where a Ford Expedition was approaching the scene.
The Expedition did not have time to react, and it also hit the Tacoma. The impact caused the Expedition to become airborne, and it rolled multiple times before coming to a stop on the road shoulder. The driver of the Expedition suffered from minor injuries, but his three passengers — including a 4-year-old — suffered serious injuries.
When a person’s loved ones are injured in a car accident due to another person’s negligent behavior, it can be both heartbreaking and infuriating. The seriously passengers in the Expedition are entitled to file Florida personal injury claims against the driver of the Compass. If successful, this claim could compensate them for their medical bills as well as other financial damages they are able to establish by competent proof.
